This section provides various pieces of news and information. There's lots of patterns all over the net. This one I discovered many years ago. I use it on all my engagements. It takes a while for people to appreciate but once they get it they don't let go. A presentation on Problem Definition and Problem Solving techniques. "Elements of Systems Development" A presentation that discusses the minimum things that must be captured to ensure a successful project. If you don't do these simple things expect (another) failure. "Developing Software as if Your Life Depends on It" Too often we're willing to participate in projects that are doomed to fail. If you want a job, great, take on the project. But, if you care about your career and success, think twice. "The Customer Is Always Wrong!" Ancient social business baggage does not translate into how we realize solutions. This discussion focuses on the gaps in our thinking about the problem. There's a big difference between 'the way it works' and 'the way we've made it work'. Too often we can't tell identify the difference. Assorted thoughts and speculations.
