The TerminalManager's function is to manage and monitor associations between Terminals and the various roles that use them. For example, it manages the associations between ApplicationUsers and SoftwareApplicationTerminals as well as Agents and AgentTerminals.
This component for the Hand-Tool will reside on the PipeLine. The rationale is that the Hand-Tool is the first effort that provides a new API to the Client (e.g. .NET/SOAP). Phase 1 (Hand-Tool) addresses the requirement to use the new APIs and transform/convert them into their Legacy200/300 messages.
Each Legacy Message currently, carries the same payload - duplicate information that the system CAN already have. The desire is to eliminate the duplicated information coming in from the client, however, the Transformer will be able to 'build' or map to the appropriate 200/300 message.
For example, upon connection to the Software Application (addAgentToSWTerminal) we capture all of the requisite detail for connectivity. Once we have this, we no longer have to require the Client to send all of the detail (e.g. the AIIHDR). |
