This song was written in 1977 when I was living in New York. For some reason, I wanted to move from New York. It is interesting, because at that time everything appeared to be going for me professionally. However, retrospectively, I feel that I was terrified of success and, given those fears decided to flee.
This song, written on my old Martha Washington, was my bittersweet farewell to home.
I still enjoy playing this song live, however, I feel as if I'm an fifty year old actor playing Peter Pan.
